The 2nd International Research Symposium on Traditional
Medicine will be organized by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya in
collaboration with the Department of Ayurveda, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka, under the theme
“One health for sustainable and health living of humans, animals and ecosystems”, in BMICH,
Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 03rd, 4th and 5th May 2024. This International Research Symposium will be
attended by over 30 eminent speakers from USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, China, India,
South Korea, Netherlands, Iran and Thailand, where a keynote speaker session as well as several
plenary sessions will be conducted by Local and International experts.
Researchers will be offered an opportunity to share their research findings through both oral
and poster presentations. Abstracts to be presented will be selected based on the scientific
validity through blind peer review by a panel of internationally selected reviewers who are
specialized in each subject.
Approximately 300 original abstracts are expected to be
received and the outstanding abstracts (over 200) will be published. The researchers have the
opportunity to submit their abstracts under 12 sub-themes, which are,
The best presenter from each sub-theme will be selected and 12 participants will be awarded prizes for the best presentation. Moreover, financial assistance will be provided to publish the top five abstracts as full papers in reputed indexed journals.
The International Research Symposium will be attended by over 30 eminent speakers from the USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, China, India, South Korea, Netherlands, Iran, and Thailand, where more than 48 lecture sessions will be conducted by Local and International experts.
